Dental Emergency

If you have a dental emergency,
I will see you immediately.
- If the dental emergency involves a tooth that has been knocked out by trauma, please handle the tooth as little as possible by the crown and not by the root. Safely store the tooth in a container of milk (not water) and be sure to bring the tooth with you when you come to the surgery. Please do not rub or attempt to wash the tooth as this may further damage it. Be sure to stay away from the socket as this may cause an infection.
- If your dental emergency involves a broken tooth or veneer, bring the broken segment to your appointment.
- If your crown has come loose, if possible replace onto the tooth using a dab of toothpaste to hold it in place and to soothe your tooth. Do NOT replace it if you notice a part of your tooth inside the crown.
For a dental emergency – please do not delay, as this will
prolong treatment and may necessitate further dental
treatment if not treated right away.
